Bobcat (Lynx rufus)

Name: Bobcat
Size: Bobcats average about 36 inches in length, with a 4-7 inch tail and 20-24 inches in height. They weigh between 16 and 30 pounds.
Habitat: Bobcats are common in Arizona and will inhabit the outskirts of cities.
Prey: Small mammals, birds, lizards, snakes and small pets.
Danger: Bobcats generally avoid humans, but they can contract rabies, which will cause them to be more aggressive. They will, however, readily prey upon your pets, rabbits and domestic birds, so if you live in an area that they frequent, keep small pets like housecats or small dogs inside or on a leash. If an unwanted bobcat has taken up residence on your property we can trap it and relocate it to a safer area.
